Usher's Step-Son Declared Brain Dead After Accident

Usher's 11 year-old stepson has been declared brain dead after a tragic jet-ski accident over the holiday weekend.

TMZ has reported on the horrific chain of events that began on Saturday.

Kyle Glover, son of Usher's ex-wife Tameka Foster, was riding on an inner tube Saturday on Lake Lanier in Atlanta, when he somehow collided with a passing jet ski that struck him in the head.

He was unresponsive when pulled out of the water and was considered in critical condition once taken to the hospital.

Despite their differences, Usher was the ever supportive and compassionate ex-husband as he chartered a plane for Foster to return from out of town to be there for her son. He then at some point met up with her, and remained by her side at the hospital.

On Sunday Kyle was declared brain dead, but he remained on life support.

Usher and Foster have been divorced since 2009 after a brief two-year marriage. They have since been involved in a very nasty custody case over their two children. Foster is mother to three other children from previous relationships.

The Department of Natural Resources (Wildlife Resources Division) is currently investigating the accident to try to determine what exactly happened.

Our heart goes out to everyone affected by this tragic event.
