Uma Thurman gives all the ugly ducklings of the world some hope. The beautiful actress admits that she was not always so hot. She actually says that she was mess as a teenager.
She says, "I didn't feel awkward, I was awkward. It's such a cliche, but it's a truism that tall, gangly women who end up all right later in life are always ugly children.
"I was funny-looking. I mean, look at my hands. Imagine having these hands at 12! By the time I was 13, I was easily 5 foot 10 inches (1.78 metres). Can you imagine? That's a mess."
Most celebrities were not born looking like gods and goddesses. It actually seems like they needed more work than most regular people. But Uma should think about some inspirational speeches to teenage girls because the teen years are crucial for ones self esteem.
