He was convicted of stalking, harassment, criminal trespass, and attempted aggravated harassment this morning. But rather than ship Green off to jail, the judge ordered him to leave New York City. He also extended Tyra’s restraining order against the man.
According to The New York Daily News, Judge Burke said, “The behavior was hounding.” He told Green’s lawyer Jeffrey Berman, “Put Mr. Green in a location where he can thrive. And that location is not likely to be the city of New York.”
Maybe he should go back to his town of Dublin, Georgia. We’re sure Tyra isn’t pleased with the outcome. Now she has to continue to beef up her security wherever she goes!
What do you think of this sentencing? Is it fair, or should stalkers be forced to serve jail time if convicted?
