Twlight Sequel Officially Gets Greenlit

Even before Twlight premiered this past weekend, there were talks about the sequel, and whether or not it was happening.

At the premiere, director Catherine Hardwicke told Hollyscoop that they’d have to wait and see how well the first one does to start thinking about the sequel. Well we’re pretty sure $70 million equals success, and now we hear word that Summit Entertainment is moving full steam ahead with New Moon.

Author Stephanie Meyer released a statement on Saturday saying, "I don't think any other author has had a more positive experience with the makers of her movie adaptation than I have had with Summit Entertainment. I'm thrilled to have the chance to work with them again on New Moon.”

And we think Twilight fans couldn’t be more thrilled either!
