Mackenzie Foy is the newest addition to the “The Twilight Saga” and like her vampire-human hybrid onscreen character, we know very little about the young actress.
Well, for starters she’s 11-years-old and looks strikingly like both Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, who play her on-screen parents.
“Even our hands look similar,” Stewart has previously stated, “It was kind of strange, but it’s funny how it actually helps. It’s like, ‘Oh, hey, you look like me, kid!”
Also, if you’re doing the math and wonder how K-Stew and R-Patz have an onscreen love child who is 11-years-old when they are supposed to be in their late teens, Mackenzie’s character, Renesmee, ages quicker than the average child, because she’s a vampire. Duh.
Anyway, having a young actress on set shook things up for the cast who are all very buddy-buddy with one another after working on four films together.
“We’re all around the same age and we’re really not polite to each other anymore,” says Pattinson, “You’d have to tone it down when Mackenzie was around. She had a little swear jar, and I think she made 850 bucks or something.”
Mackenzie may only be 11-years-old, but she’s something of a Hollywood veteran. She began modeling when she was 3-years-old. Her first ever gig was for Polo Ralph Lauren and since then has modeled in campaigns for Guess Kids, Mattel, Target, Talbots and Gap, to name a few.
She’s also appeared in commercials for Burger King, Kohl’s, BlackBerry, Comcast and Pantene and in episodes of “FlashForward” and “Hawaii Five-0.”
Her resume is more impressive than even Robert Pattinson’s. However, she still got some acting advice from her on-screen mom, Stewart, who told her how to cry on command.
“She said to think of something sad for a very long time,” says Mackenzie.
