What to Watch On TV: Monday Edition

Canterbury's Law @ 8pm
Julianna Margulies left *ER* in 2000, but now she's back in a regular TV role in R.I., as in Providence. Margulies plays attorney Elizabeth Canterbury, who, as the show's title suggests, has her own approach to justice, and frequently crosses all sorts of boundaries in her dogged pursuit of it. Her penchant for doing her own thing puts her at odds with just about everyone, including her husband (Aidan Quinn), with whom she bears the burden of the unsolved disappearance of a son. To compensate, Elizabeth throws herself into her work, and in tonight's premiere, that involves defending a seemingly indefensible child-murder suspect.

The Bachelor: Where Are They Now? @ 8pm
*The Bachelor* returns next week for another go-round (its 12th) with a new wrinkle: a British bachelor. But, accent aside, how different will 27-year-old financier Matt Grant is from the 11 other handsome, articulate and dashing guys who have picked out "soul mates" (if not brides and if not forever) since the franchise began in 2002? Tonight's retrospective will give you a chance to make comparisons. It'll also catch up with some of the more notable contestants, and it'll promote the upcoming edition of *The Bachelorette*, in which last season's spurned contestant DeAnna Pappas gets to do the spurning.

High School Confidential @ 10pm
While most people relive their high school experiences (baffling hairstyles included) by flipping through a yearbook, 12 girls from a school in suburban Kansas have had their journeys documented by first-time filmmaker Sharon Liese. Following the girls from their freshman through senior years, Liese captures the angst, challenges and more than a few startling transformations. The first installment of this eight-episode series features a popular girl who seems to have it all, and another girl who is much more hesitant about entering high school.

Kyle XY @ 8pm
Now that he's found the long-lost and presumed-dead Sarah (Ally Sheedy), Jessi's "mother," maybe Kyle will finally have the ally he needs to save Jessi from Taylor's nefarious plans. Unfortunately, there are still two obstacles to overcome, namely Jessi's mile-wide stubborn streak and the fact that Sarah demands that her identity remain a secret.
