Another next guest judge has been brought in to fill in on American Idol until the producers find a replacement for Paula Abdul. According to
E!,
Shania Twain will be taking the hot seat for two days, helping out Simon, Randy, and Kara with the Chicago auditions this week.
Shania joins
Victoria Beckham, Katy Perry, and Mary J. Blige as the known short list of substitutes on the first season without Paula. The rumors Jessica Simpson would be guest judging have been denied.
As for the long run, Idol producers say they’re still planning on maintaining the four-judge format they introduced last season, although no names have yet been announced to take over the position permanently.
It would be so much easier just to have Paula come back to the position! Is $10 million really that bad of a salary?! Come on Paula!
