Paula Abdul has landed herself a gig to take her mind off of American Idol! She’ll be hosting VH1 Divas next month.

Paula announced the news via her Twitter, saying, "Hi guys! im really excited 2 announce ill b hosting this year's "Vh1 Divas"! The show will be live on Sept 17th @ 9 pm EST.”

Kristen Johnston Replaces Paula Abdul on Ugly Betty

Since Paula Abdul is no longer guest starring on Ugly Betty, producers had to look elsewhere to fill the role. So now, former 3rd Rock From The Sun star Kristen Johnston will be filling in.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Johnson landed the role after Paula’s contract fell through.

Simon Staying on Idol for Three More Seasons

Paula Abdul may be officially out, but we’ll have at least three more seasons of Simon Cowell. The infamous judge will remain on American Idol for the time being, thanks to a pretty hefty contract.
