China Cheats At Olympics

The Chinese are cheaters! Ok, ok, it wasn't in a sporting event or anything. But remember cute little Lin Miaoke, who sang the Ode To The Motherland during the Opening Ceremonies? Well as adorable as she was, it wasn't her voice we were all hearing.

The ceremony's chief music director Chen Qigang decided that 7-year old Yang Peiyi wasn't cute enough to represent the country, and he said, "The national interest requires that the girl should have good looks and a good grasp of the song and look good on screen. Lin Miaoke was the best in this. And Yang Peiyi's voice was the most outstanding."

Poor thing! The Olympics aren't about perfection and faking. The Games are about honoring people who are great at what they do. Guess that memo didn't get passed down for the Opening Ceremonies.

agreed we should all be civil..and bottom line, anyone, any country that cheats should lose medals and be banned from further olympic competition i am a us citizen and feel that anyone who cheats should be shown the door no matter where they are from..it should also be publicized. I agree with you dontbeafraid. I live here in the US, and I can't think of any Chinese people that I've ever met that have been bad. And they are really hard workers, and pretty nice. I have a bunch of friends that are Chinese too. Not saying of course that all Chinese here are angels, just that I haven't met any bad apples yet. But that's here in the USA. I can't speak for any of the Chinese from China. However, this dishonesty in the Olympics is something I'm pretty certain was fully driven by the Chinese government. If they end up being guilty of cheating then CHINA SUCKS!!! (at least for the Olympics)

Anon, your hate for the United States is effecting your ability to think rationally. If all the facts turn out to prove that the girls are under-age, then China cheated and that's all there is to it. If they cheated then that sucks and they should be banned or something from the gymnatics events in the next Olympics. That would be sad for this Olympics to go down in history as another one where the hosting country cheated. And, if it is determined that Phelps took drugs then similar punishment should fall upon USA. Also, why do you find it so difficult to believe that a single athlete can be so dominant? Is it because the athlete came from the USA, or is that you think nobody can be so dominant in a sport? Do you think that it's pretty much luck if someone wins an event?
