Hawaii Five-O Remake In The Works

Say aloha to another TV comeback. Hawaii Five-O is coming back to the tube for a 2008 remake on CBS. The original aired from 1968-1980, and according to executive producer and writer Ed Bernero, he plans on keeping as much of the original show as possible.

For those of you unfamiliar with the show, Hawaii Five-O is about a police department in Hawaii headed by character Jack Lord, and played by Steve McGarrett.

Christopher Knight Lands A Hosting Gig

Christopher Knight, aka Peter Brady, has found something else to do rather than star in My Fair Brady. He's going to be a host! He'll be hosting a new show called Trivial Pursuit: America Plays. It's based on the board game, and will air September 22nd.

The execs say, "Chris is a charming, personable guy people really like, and we think people will tune in to see him because he is a brand. I'm sure we'll do some 'Brady'...
Carson Kressley To Get His Own Talk Show

As if we don't have enough pointless daytime talk shows, we're about to be graced with another one.

Carson Kressley from Queer Eye is shooting a pilot for Lifetime for his own show. Wait….isn't Lifetime a women's network?

Well, he's as feminine as they get for dudes. Plus, he'll probably give Tyra a run for her money. We'd watch him over her any day.

Tim Russert Passes Away

Tim Russert from Meet The Press has suddenly passed away. He was only 58 years old, and died of a heart attack.  Tim's family issued a confirmation to The New York Times today.

President Bush has offered his condolences to the family, saying, "Tim was a tough and hardworking newsman. He was always well-informed and thorough in his interviews. And he was as gregarious off the set as he was prepared on it." I
