Although the CBS show “How I Met Your Mother” had great publicity when Britney Spears made a cameo, the show is struggling with ratings and may not return for a new season.
When Hollyscoop caught up with the show's star Neil Patrick Harris as he promoted his latest flick Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, we couldn’t help but ask if the woman who gave the show it's biggest buzz would return.
Neil said, "I'm not sure with only 4 episodes left of season 3 and an unsure question mark whether we're going to have a 4th season."
Since the show might not return we asked Neil if anything special was planned for the season finale and he said, "I'm hearing rumblings of a dramatic twist at the end, but they keep us pretty clear of what happens, not because they worry about us spoiling anything, but they change their ideas all the time up until the very last minute. So, they don't want to tell us, "Oh you're going to love what happens next week," and then the studio nixes it and then they have to come and.."Oh, you know that awesome thing we told you about? You're not gonna get to do it."
Rumor on the Hollywood block is that the show is not gonna make it, but no worries; if you are a big fan of Neil Patrick Harris you can see him in his latest flick, Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, which hits theatres in April 25, 2008.
