Looks like Jon And Kate Plus 8 is enough babies for the TLC lineup. The network has decided against developing a show around
Nadya Suleman and her 14 children.
After the birth of her octuplets, Nadya was being considered as a subject for a new reality show on TLC, which is known for such programming. Not only are Jon And Kate a major show for the network, but 17 And Counting also airs on TLC and has a huge fan base. So it would almost make sense for Nadya to become the next face of TLC.
But as a result of the controversy surrounding Nayda’s decision to have 8 babies when she has no source of income, TLC has decided against giving her her own show.
TLC President Eileen O’Neill said in a statement, “TLC is not pursuing any program at this time with Nadya Suleman. We wish the family well.”
The real nail in the coffin is most likely Suleman’s Datelin interview with Ann Curry, in which she came across seeming like an Angelina Jolie wannabe.
And although a lot of people would probably tune in to watch a show about Nadya, it would only be because she’s fascinating in a crazy way. TLC would probably get a lot of hate mail if they made her a star!
