Guess the guessing game is finally over…
Katherine Heigl will be returning to
Grey's Anatomy next season after all. She appeared as a guest on David Letterman last night, and didn’t seem to be too happy to have her job back!
Katherine told Dave, “Our first day back was Wednesday and it was — I’m going to keep saying this because I hope it embarrasses them — a 17-hour day, which I think is cruel and mean.”
Well, we’d beg to differ, since we’ll bet her paycheck has a few zeroes on the end of it! But after that was said, Katherine cleaned up her act a little, saying, “It was actually kind of really great to be back. All my friends are there and at this point, they’re sort of like family, but it was a little weird because [T.R.]’s not there anymore.”
As for her character, Izzie, Katherine wasn’t giving anything away. She told Dave, “You last saw Izzie, you know, flatlining...So, I won’t give it away but, you know, I’m there so I’m either there as a ghost, on the other side or I survived a disease no one survives.”
Dave, always the funny guy, quipped, “I’m guessing if you’re working 17 hours, that means you’re not dead.”
Way to call her out, Dave! Katherine Heigl sure is hard to please! Are you happy to see her back as Izzie, Grey’s fans? How would you like to see her character, dead or alive?
