After a six week-long hiatus from
TLC,
Jon & Kate Plus 8 returned to television last night. And despite the tabloid covers and very public separation, people still tuned in!
Last night’s back-to-back episodes managed to bring in around 4 million viewers apiece. That doesn’t hold a candle to the 10.6 million people who watched the break-up episode on June 22nd. But they’re still
TLC’s biggest hit!
Last night's first half hour, which featured Kate and the kids vacationing while Jon supervised their kitchen renovation, drew in 3.9 million viewers. The following show, in which Kate went camping with the kids without Jon, was watched by 4.1 million.
Both episodes were also down significantly from the May 25 premiere, which brought in 9.8 million viewers. We heard a rumor that the show will begin showing both Jon and Kate dating new people. That’s sure to bring the numbers back up!
