Teenage heartthrob Jesse McCartney is ditching his vocals for a little while to join the cast of Greek. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Jesse will play the
recurring
role of Andy, whom they're calling "a heavily recruited freshman jock who'll be torn between rushing the KT and OX houses." He starred in Summerland previous to landing this role, and it seems he's trying to cross over into the acting world seriously, instead of just dabbling in it.
Jesse will probably be great for ratings for the ABC Family show. He's a major crush for that after-school teenage girl demographic.
