ER fans have been waiting for years for Dr. Doug Ross aka George Clooney to return back to ER and the wait came to an end in last nights episode.

George Clooney returned back to the small screen as Dr. Doug Ross on Thursday's ER.

Dr. Ross and nurse Hathaway still seem to be going strong, so strong that they have twin daughters.

Great news for all you ER fans, not only is George Clooney coming back for the final season of the long-running NBC hit, but fellow Oscar winner Susan Sarandon will be making a cameo as well.

According to E!'s Kristin Dos Santos, Susan was spotted at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank last week filming scenes for the finale.
