Anyone can get their own reality show these days. Fantasia Barrino from American Idol is set to star in her own unscripted series on VH1. See? We really mean anyone!

Fantasia’s show will chronicle her life as a recording artist and single mother. VH1 released a statement saying, “Fantasia has one of the most fascinating stories in show business, from her tough upbringing to her meteoric rise on the national scene thanks to American Idol. Her challenges from fame and her unwillingness to fail have combined to create a larger-than-life talent who appeals to music lovers around the world. So many people wanted to work with her on this, but Fantasia is now part of the VH1 family, and we’re so happy to have her.”

Fantasia was most recently in the news for her home being on foreclosure because she couldn’t make the payments on it. Maybe this show will be a good source of income to get her back on track!

Executive producer of the show Randy Barbato has high hopes for her. He says, “Fantasia’s life has been an open book, but at 24 years old, her story has just begun,” says executive producer. “We look forward to smashing expectations and revealing the fresh, funny and unexpected side of this one-of-a-kind country girl and superstar.”

The show will debut in early 2010. Will you tune to watch?
