Ellen DeGeneres has been doing comedy and television for most of her life. But is she ready to give it all up in exchange for a peaceful life with her wife Portia De Rossi?
In a recent interview with Ladies’ Home Journal, Ellen talks about how she’d have no problem trading in her day job for, well, no job! She tells the magazine, "I don't need to be on camera. I'm not a workaholic. I love to spend time with my wife, my family, my animals. We're looking for the right place to have a farm. Someplace like Massachusetts or Nantucket, with seasons. We could get an 1800s farmhouse with land and rescue animals. Then I'm done."
We can’t imagine Ellen not being on at 4pm on weekdays! It would be such a void in daytime television! Maybe Oprah could extend her show to two hours to ease our afternoon pain!
But it just seems like Ellen is in such a great place in her life now. After all is said and done, her personal life is put before her professional life, which is something a lot of celebrities don’t do.
Ellen told Ladies’ Home Journal, "You find the person you love, you think you’ve come this far ... and anyway, I never thought I'd have a wedding, and I did, and it meant more than I imagined.”
