Teri Hatcher To Ditch Desperate Housewives?

A new project is in the works for Teri Hatcher, which means she may be leaving Desperate Housewives.

 It's shocking to hear that Teri would leave Housewives since it catapulted her back to stardom. But word is the new show will be based on Teri's book Burnt Toast.  The pilot would be for Lifetime, which just also acquired Project Runway. Can Desperate Housewives survive without Teri?

Um, she's not leaving. Many of the DH cast members have side projects, too.
