Drea De Matteo Joins Desperate Housewives

There’s a new gal that’s about to spice up Wisteria Lane! Drea de Matteo has just been announced as Desperate Housewives’ newest cast member.

Newly engaged Drea will play the head of an Italian family that moves to the already drama-filled block. Her husband will be a landscape architect and the two will have a neurotic son as well. The husband and son roles have yet to be cast.

Drea will be filling the void left from Nicolette Sheridan, who left the show after last season. We like this casting choice! We can see Drea’s character stirring up a bit of trouble next season!

i LOVE her on desperate housewives. she definitely brings a good flavor to the show. she's different than all the spoiled women on the show and we needed somebody tough like lynette but in a different way. she was the perfect choice.
