Finally a dancer who is leaving
Dancing with the Stars on their own free will, and not because of an injury!
According to
Fox News,
Julianne Hough will be leaving the show after this season to pursue a full-time music career. She’s already off to a great start, winning the award for Top New Artist at the ACM awards Sunday.
She told reporters backstage, "I wasn't planning to come back this season because I wanted to focus on my music. But I went back and it’s been so much fun to dance with my good friend who happens to be my boyfriend."
She says she’ll at least be taking next season of DWTS off, and will be busy touring.
Her self-titled album has been out for almost a year now, and her songs like
That Song In My Head and
My Hallelujah Song have quickly become country favorites.
Hopefully she’ll use her newfound free time to come out with another album! We’ll definitely miss her on Dancing, but Julianne’s such a talented singer, that we’re glad she’s focusing on her music!
