Lil Kim may not be successful in a lot of areas, but if there’s one thing she can do right, it’s dance! That’s why we were so shocked when she was eliminated from
Dancing with the Stars last night.
It came down to Lil’ Kim and Ty Murray, who, comparatively, doesn’t hold a candle to Kim’s moves. But in the end, Ty nabbed bigger numbers, sending Lil’ Kim home.
But she took the elimination in stride, saying, “I think this is one of the greatest experiences in my life. I think I brought different viewers to the show.”
Kim’s partner Derek Hough added, “Amazing person, amazing soul, amazing spirit, and an amazing dancer!” Maybe Kim can take that “amazing-ness” and get back into the studio!
As for Ty Murray, who is still in the competition, he says he’s honored to be able to represent the population of bull-riders and riding fans in our country by being on the show.
Jewel and Ty both phoned into the 104.3
Valentine in the Morning show today. Jewel told Valentine that while she was excited to see her husband still on the show, she said she was sad to see Kim go. Jewel told Valentine, “We really loved Lil’ Kim. She was our little favorite I think, so we’re really sad to see her go.”
When Ty got on the line, he told Valentine that he had been approached for the show previously!
He said, “They came to me three seasons ago, and I knew it wasn’t something back then that I had to time to give it everything I have. And this season when Jewel and I were going to do it together, once I decided I was going to do it, I was going to try to do it as hard as I could.”
Jewel ended the interview with a sweet comment about her husband Ty, saying, “I’m so glad America is getting to know the guy that I married.”
That comment alone makes us want to go Team Ty! Tune in next Monday when the contestants will have to learn two different dances. Pressures on!
