Laurence Fishburne is taking his big screen talent to the small screen. This Fall, he'll appear as a regular on the ninth season of CSI.
Fishburne replaces William Petersen, who will leave his role as Gil Grissom next season. Fishburne will play a college lecturer who focuses on what motivates criminals to do what they do.
He says, "I am elated and delighted to be joining the cast of CSI. I look forward to a wonderful collaboration with the creative and talented team of such a successful and distinguished show."
CSI comes back Thursday October 9th on CBS.
