Sacha Baron Cohen showed up to the
Today show this morning, or should we say, Bruno showed up! Right from the get-go, Sacha was in character, donning a shiny silver suit and micro hat. Rather than shaking Matt Lauer’s hand as an introduction, Bruno offered Matt his hand to kiss, which he did. What a good sport Matt is!
Bruno kept the jokes rolling, calling his Velcro incident at the Prada fashion show “Worse than Darfur. It was Dar-five.” He also went on to say he wanted to become an “internationally respected figure, like Heidi Montag from The Hills.”
We have to give it to Matt Lauer for keeping the interview going smoothly, and not losing it, especially after Bruno referred to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger as a gay Austrian.
The funniest part has to be when Bruno asks Matt to comfort him after telling him the news that the Austrian minister to Great Britain is calling for a boycott of the film.
