Bret Michaels Takes a Fall On Stage at Tony Awards

The 63rd annual Tony Awards happened last night, and everything was going smoothly until Bret Michaels took the stage.

Bret performed with his band Poison and the cast of Broadway’s Rock of Ages, when a piece of the set crashed down on his head!

Tonys spokeswoman Christina Stejskal says Bret had "missed his mark." He was knocked to the ground, and although the extent of his injuries remains unknown, he did not break his nose, as had been speculated.

He left the show to get X-rays done, but in true rocker fashion, Bret’s publicist said he’d be hitting up some after parties, and said Bret “had a blast performing.”

The remainder of last night’s show went great, with Neil Patrick Harris doing a great job as host, and Billy Elliot cleaning house with 10 awards, including one for Best Musical.
