Barbara Walters TV News

The nominees for the 36th Annual Daytime Emmys have been announced, and a certain Barbara Walters may not be very happy about it!

The View, which is always a part of the competition, has been snubbed as a Best Talk Show nominee. But it’s not all bad news for the girls—all five of them will be competing together for Best Host against Ellen Degeneres, Rachael Ray, and Regis and Kelly.

Overall, PBS leads the...
Barbara Walters Special: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2008 @10 pm
'Tis the season for Babs' annual Top 10 countdown (her 16th) of her most "fascinating" notables. As always, the No. 1 selection remains a secret, but we'd be really surprised if it's anybody other than a certain Illinois politician. As for the others, they range from celebs Miley Cyrus and Will Smith to Olympic megamedalist Michael Phelps, pregnant guy Thomas Beatie, radio talker Rush Limbaugh and a certain...
This is an interview you won't want to miss! Barbara Walters is getting some exclusive sit-down time with President elect Barack Obama and his wife Michelle.

The special, which will air tonight on ABC, took place in the Obama's hometown of Chicago, and covered a wide array of topics. Not surprisingly, two of those topics are the U.S. economy which is still awful, and how he's planning on adjusting to life in the White House.
Barbara Walters has just had it with old co-hosts living in the past, and not getting over the fact that they were fired from The View. Hint, hint, Rosie…On this morning’s episode, Babs put Rosie O’Donnell (and probably Star Jones) in their place and told them to pretty much move on with their lives. It was obviously in direct response to Rosie saying this to the LA Times:

We almost can’t wait for the election to be over so that the ladies on The View will stop fighting! We know it’s their job to talk politics, but the bickering has gotten out of control!

Today’s discussion began with Barbara stating information from a recent poll, which indicated that 47% of voters saw Sarah Palin as a threat to McCain’s presidency.

Elisabeth does not have that kind of talk...Click on the Headline to view the Video.

I'm sorry, but this lady is a dumbass.  Why she was picked for this show blows my mind.  Sherri Shepherd announced today that she has never voted, and almost missed the cut off for this year to mail in her absentee ballot.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck is probably about to blow her Republican top over this. Seriously, Sherri's 41. That's kind of pathetic to be in the public eye as a host on a show that discusses politics every morning....

Being banned a first time wasn't enough, Kathy Griffin got banned from "The View" once again.

She said, "I was supposed to be on 'The View' today... But then I get a call from [producer] Bill Geddie, and he says, 'You were too mean to Barbara [Walters] on your last special, so you can't come on.' Can you believe it? I've been banned before but never re-banned!"

"The View" definitely doesn't like controversy. Hey, that's why...

Although Barbara Walters said she wanted to step away from celebrity interviews, she sure had a bunch of them on her list on last night's ABC special, "10 Most Fascinating People of 2007."

The list included Jennifer Hudson, Katherine Heigl, Justin Timberlake, and Posh and Becks. Um, Barbara, they're all pretty famous. I love that Victoria and David each earned their own spots on the list, rather than getting lumped in together.

David told Barbara he knew...
