Ashlee Simpson is reportedly "devastated" over being let go from
Melrose Place because she didn't see it coming.
“Ashlee didn’t see it coming, and now she’s crushed,” a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer.
“She invested her heart and soul into the job. She feels like the rug has been pulled out from under her," the source added.
Apparently she was having a hard time dealing with being a full time actress and a mother and she's upset that her efforts didn't pay off.
"She is struggling to hold her marriage together, dealing with motherhood and practically starving herself to look good.
“Ashlee’s friends are concerned that she’s headed for an emotional meltdown,” said the insider.
Clearly she wasn't expecting to be let go because earlier this month her hubby
Pete Wentz said they were holding off on having another baby because "Ashlee is really focused on Melrose Place right now."
So maybe being let go from
Melrose Place was a blessing in disguise. Sounds like now is just as good a time as any to have baby #2.
Simpson and her co-star Colin Egglesfield were cut from the CW drama last week but their last episode won't air until January.
