Yes, the unassuming Missouri bartender with no Smithson-style showbiz connections has trumped aggressively hyped/stage-parented Star Search winner David Archuleta. America got it right this time. His brother should be so proud right now. Thanks for rocking the vote, Idol fans! (And if those Internet rumors are true that this outcome was fixed, well then, I guess thanks to whomever rigged it in Cook's favor...)
Some are shocked and some are not but one thing is for sure is that both David Cook and David Archuleta are going to be very successful in the industry.
