Meryl Streep To Guest Star On 30 Rock

It’s the in thing these days to guest star on 30 Rock. But the show won’t just take any old schmoe off the street. They’re looking strictly for A-listers. And the latest top-notch celeb to join the cast is Meryl Streep!

According to the NY Daily News, Alec Baldwin approached Streep at last Sunday night’s SAG winner and asked her to guest star on the award-winning show.

“Meryl was delighted with the idea of appearing on the show,” a SAG insider blabbed. “She said yes immediately.”

30 Rock won three awards at the 2009 SAG Awards, including Outstanding Actor Alec Baldwin, Outstanding Actress Tina Fey, and Outstanding Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

So of course Meryl Streep said yes! 30 Rock the show to watch and to be watched on this season. Just this season alone, 30 Rock has had on Jennifer Aniston, Oprah Winfrey, Steve Martin, and Salma Hayek. Next up is Mad Men star Jon Hamm on Feb. 5th.

We think Meryl’s tone will be the perfect accent to Alec’s dry sense of humor on the show. Can’t go wrong with two SAG winners on one episode!

Great landing Meryl as guest star. She is such a great actress, one of the few classic actresses like we had in Movies during the 30's, 40's and 50's. Then there were real actors and not just these crapy so called stars of today , who really have no talent.

I only watch the show when there is a guest star I like on that week, which equalls exactly four episodes since the inception. Nt a fan. Love the writing-it just dosen't do better thatn the other sit-coms for total viewing pleasure.
