Emmy Predictions: 30 Rock Will Rock The 2009 Emmy's

The Emmy nominations were announced this morning and it’s no surprise that 30 Rock would lead the pack with 22 nominations.

30 Rock is arguably one of the funniest shows on air since Seinfeld, so we're not surprised it's leading the award show with the nominations, again.

The shows creator and star Tina Fey got a nomination for “Best Actress” for her portrayal of Liz Lemon and we're betting she's going to take it again this year. She's won the past two years in a row.

The New Adventures Of Old Christine star Julia Louis-Dreyfus would probably disagree as she told Hollyscoop.com that, "I am truly delighted to be nominated and I'm REALLY looking forward to kicking Tina Fey's ass." Let the T Shirt sales of Team Fey and Team Dreyfus begin.

When Hollyscoop tried to reach Fey for a statement, her rep said that she’s in production today so they had no access to her; however Fey’s co-star Alec Baldwin did give a statement about his nomination for his role as Jack Donaghy.

Alec, who plays the slick yet scrupulous network executive with an affinity for overtly backhanded compliments, tells Hollyscoop, "I'm thrilled for everyone connected to the show, but I'm especially excited for Jane, Jack and Tracy. It's great working with the entire group and I'm grateful for the recognition of our work."

Alec will be competing against Jim Parsons from The Big Bang Theory, Tony Shalhoub from Monk, Steve Carell from the The Office and Charlie Sheen from Two And A Half Men..

Alec has a very high chance of winning once again, however if the Emmy members decide to throw us a curveball, Jim Parsons might catch it.

In regards to the “Best Supporting Actor,” 30 Rock may have the probability of winning as two of its cast members are nominated. Tracy Morgan will be going up against Jack McBrayer. This is going to be a tough one, since the two well deserve the nominations with their roles as the erratic movie star Tracy Jordan and socially awkward NBC page Kenneth Parcell.

In regards to this nomination, Tracey Morgan told Hollyscoop, “It is an honor to be recognized by my peers and be a part of ‘30 Rock's’ 22 nominations. I want to thank everyone from Tina to Lorne to everyone in craft services.”

One things for sure, if you're looking for any acceptance speeches that will leave anyone talking the following day of the show, it will be from Team 30 Rock. Congrats to the cast!

I hope they get all the Emmy's they were nominated for because I love this show..I feel that it's the only intelligent comedy on TV and we need more like it. Truly sick of reality...
