Sheperd and Goldberg to Host "The View"

July 27, 2007

Although there are no official announcements from the network, it seems like “The View” has found themselves some replacements for the show.

The official announcement will come next week from the network itself but rumor has it that Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd are going to be the two new hosts for daytime show.

The network spokesman Karl Nilsson said, "There is nothing to announce."

President Brian Frons of ABC Daytime told Variety, "We have no closed deal" with Goldberg.

@ Adam: "You wanna talk hypocrisy? Bring it on..." Yes, Adam. Let's talk about hypocrisy. You think the thousands of dead Americans at the World Trade Center was no big deal. You think that those tortured and gassed under Saddam's regime was no big deal. But you do 'care about the troops.' On the other hand, when it comes to protecting life, you're totally in favor of abortion. I'm pro-choice. But unlike you... I'm not a hypocrite.

Wow, where's Adam?? The brilliant gasbag. crickets ... crickets

Adam, you're out of your league. Clint is correct. If you follow anything going on with anti-American countries, dictators like Hugo Chavez, the funding of anti-American guerillas and terrorists - AND providing oil and supplies for these destructive reactionaries, you'd have a clue. Not to mention the United Nation's past 'sweetheart' deals with France, Russia and Germany directly to siphon Iraq's oil and disrupt agreed-upon sanctions, you wouldn't write such ignorant, lefty air-headed phrases like "Bush's War". As for The View, Whoopi leans left. Period. Do some global reading and I don't mean on blogs. Nitwit.

You've obviously NEVER watched Whoopi on the View. She's liberal, but very fair and (a new word for you) sensible. She even approved of the increase in troops in Iraq to fix Bush's mess. I'm actually in favor of adding another conservative to the panel. At least Sherri Shepherd is the real deal and not a fake trophy wife like Hasselcrack. I have NO respect for someone who opposes a woman's right to choose and then brushes off the casualties in Iraq as "unfortunate." You wanna talk hypocrisy? Bring it on...

Thank you both for proving my point about the hypocrisy of liberals that want everyone to be accepting and understanding of others view points in the efforts to be more "fair." If that were ACTUALLY true they'd pick a moderate or a conservative for the spot to balance things out for a "fair" discussion. Instead they choose people like Rosie or Whoopi who are, as you comparatively say, "left wing nutjobs." Meanwhile, turn on FoxNews for 30 min. and you will find decidedly liberal viewpoints alongside the Conservative strategists again and again.

Exactly. Right-wing nutters need not worry. Shepherd is also Pro-Life and opposes stem cell research. I personally don't agree with Sherri in regards to these topics, but at least she's not boring like Hasselbeck. I feel like I'm watching an episode of the Twilight Zone when she goes on one of her ultra-conservative rants.

Clint, maybe you can take some right-wingnut solace in knowing that Shepperd doesn't believe in evolution.
10:04AM 07/27/07 Clint
Gee, a VERY liberal view point like Whoopi Goldberg, eh? Never would've thought they'd go that route...
