'Grey's Anatomy' star Ellen Pompeo and her fiancé of 1 year, music exec Chris Ivery got hitched in a private ceremony early Friday morning.

Sadly there was no wedding, no white dress and no cake. The couple opted for a quickie private ceremony at New York's City Hall, with Mayor Michael Bloomberg serving as their witness.

“The Mayor was in midtown for his weekly radio show, and he came back [downtown] for a series of meetings at City Hall, and this was one of the things he had planned," Bloomberg's rep, Stu Loeser, tells Us Weekly. " The Mayor was gracious.”
