Desperate Housewives came back last night with a bang! They opened their fifth season with 18.4 million viewers-the show's largest audience since January 6.

Maybe it was the little cameo the ladies gave at last week's Emmys, or possibly people just wanted to tune in to see if Eva Longoria was as "fat" as she and her co-stars have been alluding to.

We have to say, she definitely packed a few on.

Last night we fast-forwarded time five years from last season. This will definitely create a lot of holes and uncover a lot of secrets. Because as every Housewives fan knows, those ladies on Wisteria Lane are always up to something.

Desperate Housewives airs Sundays on ABC.
As I was hoping for a repeat of last years Weeds and Californication line-up, admittedly I was unduly intrigued by this new sizzling show Secret Diary of Call Girl based on the real life escapades of Belle Du Jour and her blog "The Intimate Adventures of a London Call Girl".

Well, to be honest it was just OK for me. Nothing outlandishly original really. Just different kitschy and scandalous elements of the high class hooker life repackaged. Belle leads 2 lives.

The Call Girl life, and the Legal Secretary/ girlfriend to nice guy Ben life. Not a bad person, just someone who likes sex and money and being her own boss. What's wrong with that? In the pilot, the conflicts are pretty simple. There is potential conflict with Stephanie, her booking agent to her clients essentially. The whole double life thing of course. Different clients provide different methods of pleasing them. Some wackier than others: like the horseplay scene at the end. Some she'll not be able to tackle and will grate her as we saw with her client who wanted a more "girl next door" type woman. (Although she did indeed close that deal after a failed first attempt) And then there is competition between the different call girls that Stephanie gets clients for.

Etc. etc.

We'll see where it goes. Maybe more interesting conflict awaits. Like her parents finding out? How would they react? Hmm.. we'll see, I'm not holding my breath on this one.
Don't MISS out on Breaking News!
Although the CBS show “How I Met Your Mother” had great publicity when Britney Spears made a cameo, the show is struggling with ratings and may not return for a new season.

When Hollyscoop caught up with the show's star Neil Patrick Harris as he promoted his latest flick Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, we couldn’t help but ask if the woman who gave the show it's biggest buzz would return. Neil said, "I'm not sure with only 4 episodes left of season 3 and an unsure question mark whether we're going to have a 4th season."

Since the show might not return we asked Neil if anything special was planned for the season finale and he said, "I'm hearing rumblings of a dramatic twist at the end, but they keep us pretty clear of what happens, not because they worry about us spoiling anything, but they change their ideas all the time up until the very last minute. So, they don't want to tell us, "Oh you're going to love what happens next week," and then the studio nixes it and then they have to come and.."Oh, you know that awesome thing we told you about? You're not gonna get to do it."

Rumor on the Hollywood block is that the show is not gonna make it, but no worries; if you are a big fan of Neil Patrick Harris you can see him in his latest flick, Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, which hits theatres in April 25, 2008.

All you Reaper fans, we got some soop for you. Looks like the CW drama might make it to a season. The highly acclaimed new series has been ordered for additional scripts, which always means more shows. Although Repaer was the best reviewed new series of Fall its ratings haven’t lived up to it. Its obvious CW still believes that this show has potential or else it would be dunzo by now.

So what is this show really about? Many compare it to “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”. It’s a drama, which chronicles the life of Sam, a slacker who has a dead-end job and wastes his time playing video games. When he turns 21, Sam realizes why his parents had been so easy on him, as it turns out that before Sam was born, his parents had sold his soul to the devil. Satan himself informs Sam that he will now be Satan's bounty hunter, tasked to track down evil souls that have escaped, in order to return them to Hell.

If this is interesting to you, then make sure to check it out tonight at 9/8 c. In the meantime here's a sneak peak.

I guess “Viva Laughlin” is not even gonna see another week as it was cancelled after the second episode aired.

Skein's first airing in its regular Sunday 8 p.m. time slot drew 7.6 million viewers and 1.2 rating/3 share in the adults 18-49 demographic, per prelim Nielsens. That was coming out of 11.1 million viewers and 2.2/6 for "60 Minutes." The worst stat was how fast the "Laughlin" numbers fell at the half-hour mark, plunging from 7.6 million viewers and 1.4/3 in the first half to 6 million and 1.0/2 in the 8:30-9 p.m. leg.

You win some and you lose some, this was one of those loses.

After a strong start, Bionic Woman slipped in ratings taking in 8.52 million viewers. The ratings dropped 37 percent from its debut week. 8.52 is still good numbers but they gotta definitely up their game.

One show that is keeping its top slot is the new show, Pushing Daisies. They brought in 9.75 million viewers and maintained its lead in key demos.

I didn’t get a chance to watch Bionic Woman because the topic at hand doesn’t interest me . Did you guys get a chance to watch it? Did you like it?
