Candy Spelling don’t exactly see eye to eye. But Tori wants the public to know that it’s not as bad as the media makes it out to be.
Tori recently spoke to
People magazine while promoting her new book Mommywood, and told them, "It's not like we're not talking, we just haven't talked. I love my mother. I've always loved her [and] no doubt she loves me. There's no feud. We simply never meshed."
Tori didn’t want to get into details, but seems to have come to grips with the fact that they’re two very different women. She says, "My mother is who she is. I've become who I am. At some point I realized those two just didn't go together."
It sounds like a different story from the one Candy tells. She says Tori doesn’t return her phone calls and doesn’t know her own grandchildren. But Tori says, "I, in no way, cut her off. She is welcome to make the effort if she wants to be present in their lives.
"She knows how to reach me, she knows where we live. If she would love to see her grandchildren, she should really make an effort to reach out and see them."
Tori and Candy can continue their little feud, but we think they should at least try and put their differences aside for the sake of the grandchildren. It must be so sad not to have any relationship with them!
