Clay Aiken Mocks Kelly Ripa

Tori Spelling

If you missed out on the AMA's last night you didn’t miss out on much. The only part of the show that we thought was remotely interesting was when Clay Aiken was on stage presenting with a very pregnant Tori Spelling. Clay thought it would be funny to reenact his "Regis and Kelly" hand clapping incident, and Tori, as always, is in need of major publicity.

When the two presented they did a skit where Tori clapped her hand on Clay Aiken’s mouth while Clay replied back saying "I don’t know where you hands have been". The two mocked the incident that took place last Friday on "Regis and Kelly" when Clay clapped his hand over Ripa’s mouth angering the show host. I’m pretty sure the Clay vs. Kelly drama isn’t over yet, and he probably just added some more fuel to the fire. Check out the clip from last night's show.

You should never invade someone's personal space like that not to mention how UNPROFESSIONAL of him. If it had been me I would have punched him in the face on national TV. Rude and ignorant.

what clay did was understandable, someone needed to shut her up, you don't ask a guest presenter to come in and then make them sit there like a lemon! i feel sorry for her hubby. and what tory and clay did at the awards was soo funny!

I don't think Clay should have done what he did but I think Kelly overreated. I do think Rosie was right when she said had it been a goodlooking, straight man Kelly wouldn't have said anything. Like if that had been George Clooney or Brad Pitt no way would she have. On the other hand, George or Brad would never have done that.

please Susan! if someone cute, ugly, gay or straight unrelated to you came and touched your mouth and you don't get offended then something is wrong with you! I don't even like for my daughter to touch my mouth for the reason being too many germs on those hands!

I like them both, but I think Clay was rude from the start of the program. He was the guest-host. He seemed pushy while insecure. Kelly reacted fine by showing her displeasure which I think was an acumination of everything. She was friendly the rest of the show. Rosie over-reacted on the View. Clay on AMA was funny, but he still made me uncomfortable appearing smug, not the same nice guy.

Kelly is the host. Clay was a guest host. He does not have to say anything; just sit and add a comment during a lull in conversation. I would have been upset too. There was no "out of the way" remark made. I watched this over and over and still do not understand what Rosie is so bent out of shape about. I think there is way too much "I'm offended" out there.

Kelly told Clay "that is a no-no" and " I don't know where that hand has been honey" Actually Clay was not suppose to just sit there, he had a card, and some questions of his own to ask, and Kelly, the Diva bitch that she is, wouldn't let him get a word in edgewise..Clay apologised

I was surprised Clay covered Kelly's mouth, that is until our local news just showed two occasions that Kelly covered Regis mouth. Wow, isn't it funny how it is ok for her to do it, not once, but twice, but when done to her it is not ok. Double standards perhaps?

Kelly Ripa is a hypocrite. I've seen several clips of her touching mouths and a few other people touching hers. Maybe Rosie has a point.

This is all one big publicity stunt. Clay's not getting the attention he desires from AI, so he's just playing up this "feud" because frankly, no one gives a sh** about him!

Thanks "someone" for answering my question and if that is indeed verbatim what she said, then I think that Rosie totally overreacted. NOT that I'm a fan of Kelly's, because I think that she's an insipid little chatterbox full of inane babble, who needs to muzzled by any means possible !

let's say for one minute that clay was wrong in what he did. SHE was wrong by bringing up that nasty dirty comment. She escalated it from a social faux pas to interjecting a dirty comment on rumored sexuality. her statement was disgusting. Ripa was wrong. i'm not a big aiken fan, but now i definitely am not a ripa fan.

Clay had his card with Questions he was supposed to ask. Kelly wouldn't let him say a word which is why he jokingly covered her mouth. If Mario Lopez put his hand over her mouth, she would have probably have held it there and licked it. She is such a little tv diva. Clay is a southern gentleman and a wonderful singer.

Ummm if anyone ever put their hand over my mouth, I would be disgusted. You can't honestly say that's socially acceptable. Whether Clay did it to Kelly or Kelly did it to Regis, that's just bad manners! Clay is supposed to be a Southern gentleman... well I'm from the South and no man would EVER do that to me!

Clay is as much of a diva as Kelly is. The whole thing is being blown way out of proportion. Clay shouldn't have touched her face, she shouldn't have made the comment, Rosie shouldn't have thrown in her two cents. Not everything is about being a homophobe. Maybe she's suddenly become a germophobe. Any way, when did Clay confirm he was gay (Rosie)?

I use to watch the show everyday and I have seen Kelly take gum that had been chewed by two other people and put it in her mouth and chew it. Does this sound like someone that is conserned about germs? I do not watch the show anymore because I think Kellys reaction was out of line.

Clay was no ruder than Kelly for shoving the cat picture in his face when he had already made it clear the the producer and staff how he felt about cats. To feed on someone elses fears for a laugh is much worse than what he did. I've been just dying for someone to shut her up!
