The Festival of Books attracted over 100,000 book lovers to the USC campus Saturday and Sunday to the free event. Three hundred exhibitors represented all things books with demonstrations ranging from poetry reading to cooking demonstrations.
Along with the long list of authors making an appearance at the 16-year-old event, some of our favorite celebs showed up to talk about their very own hot new books.
Ricki Lake has a memoir, Never Say Never: Finding a Life That Fits, set to hit store shelves later this year. The actress and talk show host said that she opens up more than ever in the new book.

Tori Spelling had a baby and then got pregnant a month later, something I didn’t know was physically possible, but then again my entire knowledge of the human anatomy is based on the Operation board game.
So how did it happen? Well, she turned herself into a sex machine because she didn’t want to leave her husband, Dean McDermott, unsatisfied.

Spelling had just given birth to her daughter, Hattie, when she and her husband, Dean McDermott discovered she was pregnant with a fourth baby.
"We found out the news together," Tori explained. "I had chronic migraines and I was in the emergency room getting treated for one of my migraines and when I got there they said, 'Before we can treat you, you have to do the pee in a cup.'"

That being said. There are some excellent celebrity books, like Tina Fey’s “Bossy Pants” and Alicia Silverstone’s “The Kind Diet” and then there are other celeb books that aren’t so great, like “Elixir” by Hilary Duff, but are somehow incredibly popular.
So here they are, the most successful celebrity “authors” ever. I put that in air quotes, because c’mon, nobody wants to be know as an “author” when you can be labeled a “celebrity.”
Lauren Conrad: Conrad is such a successful author she has 4 books! That’s four more than Audrina Patridge has got. Lauren wrote a trilogy of books called the “LA Candy” series, which follows the life of Jane Roberts who moves to LA for a fashion internship and ends up starring on a reality show! Gasp, this is NOTHING like the “The Hills.”

For some reason, there was a topless woman in the background of Dean's photo, and while her face is hidden, I can only assume it's his wife. Great picture for this year's Christmas card. I guess Dean didn’t notice Tori's naked boobs in the background, but the Twitterverse sure did, and they blew up. Dean has since deleted the Tweet.
Tori gave birth to the couple's third child, Hattie, in October.

Tori Spelling: Tori Spelling doesn't have just one weird pet, she has a Noah's Ark variety of strange pets. She has the normals, i.e. cats, dogs and bunnies but she also has chickens and goats. Sometimes she strolls around LA carrying her chicken like a clutch. Or I guess you can call it a CLUCKtch. Get it? Because chickens cluck...never mind.
Kristen Stewart: Reason #137 why Kristen Stewart is an emotionless vampire woman without a soul...She owns wolves! What the hell!? Apparently she owns some kind of wolf/dog hybrid (Insert Twilight Joke here). She once did a photoshoot with her wolf/dog/Taylor Lautner/thing and said, "This is my pet. I know he looks kind of scary, he's a wolf. He's really sweet."

Jennifer Aniston: Back in March of this year, when Aniston was still having bad luck with men, her friends set her up on a date with a "non-Hollywood guy." Her blind date was an entertainment lawyer and apparently the guy ordered his meal before Jen showed up, he grilled her on questions about Brad and Angie and then when the bill came he wanted to know if they should split it. A source told InTouch that Jen eventually "paid the entire bill and left!" Besides going Dutch on a first date, it's celeb code that you don't talk to Jennifer Anniston about Brad & Angie. First Date rules: No talk of politics, religion, or BRAD & ANGIE.

Hattie Margaret McDermott was born at 7:08 a.m. on Monday, according to a Tweet from Spelling.
“Our family's so happy 2 announce tht 10/10/11 R baby girl Hattie Margaret McDermott was born at 7:08am! Xoxo”
Spelling also Tweeted picture of her newborn’s wrinkly baby feet.
An insider also told Life & Style mag: “The baby wasn’t due until early next week, but it was an early present!”
