See, Jessica Simpson? It’s not that hard.
While visiting a high school near Dallas, a student asked if he has any kids. Romo replied: “Um no. I don’t have any kids. I’ve got one on the way. My wife’s pregnant.”
Are you kidding me, a child broke this news? That’s it, send Jessica Simpson to a high school. Those kids ask the hard-hitting questions.
As the kids applauded the Dallas Cowboys quarterback for the announcement, Tony pumped his fist in the air and said, “it’ll be fun!”
That’s usually the reaction dudes have before they make the baby.
Tony was at Cedar Hill High School on Tuesday talking to students about not doing drugs. It’s the school’s Red Ribbon Week campaign, which is just a bunch of hoopla to get kids to stay drug-free. But more important than all that bullcrap is celebs having babies.
Romo married Crawford back in May. He and Simpson dated from 2007 to 2009, and while they made a cute couple, Cowboys fans did not approve. They basically thought she was a curse because the Cowboys were sucking at the time. Romo said of Simpson’s support:
“It's very hard when you lose, because games are important, and so many people put so much time and effort in. It's nice to have someone to come home to and try and make you feel better."
Jessica agreed: “Can't help it. But we don't let it affect our relationship. If we did, we wouldn't be together, because it happened at the very beginning. Dating the Cowboys quarterback comes with hype, the fans, the bloggers…”
Since summer of 2009, Romo has been dating Candice. Crawford is a former news reporter and beauty queen. Her older brother is actor Chase Crawford. No word on when these two are expecting the new addition, but this announcement can’t be that thrilling for Jessica. She’s reportedly asking for $500,000 to make her pregnancy announcement a huge deal, so this kind of puts a damper on it. Anything she comes out with now is just going to sound like Yeah, me too! I’m pregnant too!
Your move, Simpson. Better hurry up before Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo make an announcement, too.
