In an ironic turn of events, Jessica Simpson’s ex, Tony Romo, has just announced that his wife, Candice Crawford, is pregnant.
While visiting a high school near Dallas, a student asked if he has any kids. Romo replied: “Um no. I don’t have any kids. I’ve got one on the way. My wife’s pregnant.”
Are you kidding me, a child broke this news? That’s it, send Jessica Simpson to a high school. Those kids ask the hard-hitting questions.

Not only did he start dating his beauty queen girlfriend Candice Crawford months after he broke up with Jessica, he may already be ready to tie the knot!
“I have my eye set on one girl right now…and she’s not a Hollywood girl. She’s a girl in Dallas. Her name is Candice,” the Dallas Cowboys quarterback told Hollywood Life while promoting his new virtual project, Cameo Stars, in LA.
When we asked the 30-year-old athlete whether a wedding ring or Super Bowl ring would come first he replied, “I don’t know. Maybe both!”
When asked about Jessica's new NFL boyfriend he said, “I’m happy for them,” adding, “I don’t know much about it, but all I can say is, best of luck. I’m not in that world anymore, I don’t know if I could comment more on that.”
Meanwhile Jess has been busy playing tonsil hockey with her new beau all over the globe. Her friends reportedly don't like him because they feel like he's using her for fame, but his friends are signing a different tune.
Poor Jess, she's been so unlucky in love, we'd love to see her finally settle with a good guy. Do you think Jess and her new man will last? Or is it just another summer fling?

There are reports circulating on the internet that Romo had proposed to his girlfriend Candice Crawford after Candice was spotted sporting a ring. Turns out it was just a regular ring--not an engagement ring.
Engagement talk is “not true,” Crawford’s boss at KDAF, a CW affiliate known as Channel 33 in Dallas told Gossip Cop. Candice actually found the reports "amusing.”
Candice may have found the reports "amusing," but we're sure Jess didn't! According to reports Romo called it quits because Jess and her family was pressuring him into marriage. Not a good idea! Either way, this report is f-a-l-s-e!

Carrie Underwood did an interview with Esquire magazine recently, and made sure it was clear her song “Cowboy Casanova” was not about Tony!
She said in the article, "No, I would never immortalize a guy that did me wrong. I would never give him that much credit."
As you may recall, Carrie and Tony dated in 2007, but broke up towards the end of that year. She blames it on football.
"Point blank, he is about football. I don't know if it's that I'm not quite his type or whatever, but I don't think he's at the point in his life where he would be willing to sacrifice football," she said at the time.
"He hated so much that people thought that he was paying more attention to me and that was causing him to not do well.''
What a zinger! We’re not used to hearing Carrie speak her mind like this! All of her songs tend to tell a personal story, so maybe she was talking about Tony in “Someday When I Stop Loving You!” Just a thought!

And as if that’s not tough enough, Jess also went through the terror of losing her precious dog Daisy after she was snatched by a coyote. Talk about a bad couple of months.
But Jess has managed to put on a happy face. Yesterday she took to her Twitter to show her continuing support for the Dallas Cowboys, for whom Romo is the quarterback. She wrote: "Can't forget the Cowboys! Great game yesterday.”
After the Cowboys beat the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, she wrote: "My pink jersey was nowhere in sight ;) I was screaming in my parents' TV in Dallas gear though."
She also wrote "'Tougher Than The Rest' YAY 9," which is believed to be a shout-out to Tony, who wears that number. We’re surprised Jess would admit to still rooting for the Cowboys, since so many fans gave her a hard time when they were together, even calling her a “jinx.”
We’re glad Jessica is able to keep her head up. That girl’s had a tough year. She could use a break!

On October 11, Fox NFL Sunday mocked Jess and her weight in a new Burger King commercial.
In the clip, members of the Dallas Cowboys make fun of Jessica's weight and Tony for dating her.
Dallas Cowboys starter Marion Barber is heard saying, "Man, I still can’t believe Tony dated Jessica Simpson, even after she blew up bigger than Flozell Adams!"
Another player chimes in, "Say Tony, is Jessica around? We could use a defensive tackle!"
