Nightclub Claims No Responsibility For Tony Parker's Injuries

The NBA star is turning the blame away from the fighters and toward the establishment.

The now infamous Chris Brown-Drake New York City nightclub fisticuffs has resulted in Tony Parker suing W.i.P.

The baller was injured in the brawl and blames the club for not foreseeing a physical attraction, but W.i.P isn’t having any of it...

According to TMZ, the club has countered Parker’s suit, saying that they are not responsible for the personal beef that patrons have with each other.

In the club’s opinion it is not their job to keep track of who is playing nice with whom beyond the boarders of their establishment…

As Hollyscoop previously reported, Parker is suing W.i.P. for a whopping $20 million. During the bar fight between R&B singers where bottles were reportedly thrown across the room, the San Antonio Spur sustained an injury when a shard of glass got lodged inside his eye.

Parker also claims that the club served already intoxicated patrons even more booze, further stimulating the back-and-forth that eventually turned violent.

"The defendants were reckless, careless and negligent in permitting Drake’s entourage and Brown’s entourage to be in the club at the same time despite known tension between the two," Parkers lawyer said.

In the wake of the incident, Parker’s injuries had a lot of clout due to the fact that it was pre-Olympics season and it jeopardized his possibility to play for Team France. Since then, Parker was able to suit up, but had to where eye protection.

Reportedly, W.i.P. wants the lawsuit dropped immediately in its entirety. No official ruling has yet to take place.
