Tom Cruise Attacks NYC

TomKat

Superhero Tom Cruise wants to save New York City. The Scientology superstar wants to spread the love of his religion's controversial "detox" project to 9/11 workers.

The actor will host a mega-fund-raising gala for this cause to help firefighters, cops and other rescue workers exposed to high levels of toxins at Ground Zero.

Although Tom believes this can be their savior others thinks its all a bunch of "bullshit". The program hasn’t been endorsed by the Fire or Police departments and other experts questioned the program's effectiveness and warned it posed serious potential hazards. "This is just hocus-pocus," Dr. Bob Hoffman of the New York City Poison Control Center told "The New York Post" in 2004. "For some people, sitting in a hot environment can be very dangerous."

Others believe the "hoola boola" can actually work by releasing fatty acids into the bloodstream, ingesting cold-pressed oil and sweating off "toxins" in a sauna set at 140 to 180 degrees for 21/2 to five hours a day, with frequent showers. Experts question studies produced by advocates that claim the program works. Among the results claimed in one study were higher IQs. Whatever the case is the prophet of Scientology is persistent to save NYC and than save the world!

Religion made me an Athiest. Tom should keep his vitamins and instead create a medical fund for these 911 clean-up workers and he and his shallow rich Hollywood friends can donate.

If people who believe in scientology 'supposedly' have a higher IQ then why do they follow a religion founded by a science fiction writer?? These people are CRAZY!!!

Before anyone comments they might want to actually look at the statistics and data regarding the program. It is highly successful and is credited with saving many lives. www.nydetox.org/ www.narconon.org/narconon_results.htm www.drug-rehabs.org/content.php?cid=1136&state=

some people think TC is great for being involved in this you think TC is so great because he “helped” those firefighters, right? They also swarmed all over those grieving students at Virginia Tech HOURS after the tradgedy. ASK YOURSELF…….WHY hasn’t TC or the COS helped the victims of Katrina, one of the BIGGEST natural disasters in the U.S. you know why they have never reached out to those people?? THERE IS NO MONEY IN IT NY/Manhattan=MONEY Virginia college=MONEY poor mostly black=NO MONEY something to think about Hubbard's basic assumption was that humanity was divided into hustlers and suckers, and he was going to be one of the former. Those gullible enough and stupid to believe his claims deserved to be exploited. Identifying potential customers meant looking for hardships and vulnerability in people and preying, in Hubbard's own words on "the bereaved or injured" (Wallis, 1977, p. 158). The predatory nature of the organization is revealed in this early stage, with Hubbard searching for weaknesses and suffering in others, and using them for profit. Tom Cruise seems to be carrying on Hubbards "legend" in the most vile , foul ways

i tried to enroll in this program 2x. in michigan they refered me to ny to this web site..ny refered me to california...they said they were to busy..on ny.detox.org they say they help even construction people that have been exposed to toxic exposure..but in all acutallity they just played basketball with me and avoided everything..i think tom crusie should know that his plan to help people is not how the people at ny.detox.org, or ron hubbard, in reality treat people.
