John Travolta to the Rescue

Actor John Travolta recently came to the aid of his friend Tom Cruise after last week's debacle with Andrew Morton's tell all and the leaked Scientology videos.

Travolta says the media has gone too far, and it's a person's right to say how they feel and what they believe.

Do you believe Andrew Morton's claims about Tom and Scientology?

I'm with John Travolta. Tom should believe what he wants to. We shouldn't laugh at him any more than we should laugh at any Christian who believes in a virgin birth lol, that Jesus walked on water and defied physics, etc., etc., etc.. To me, believing that nonsense is just as insane as what Tom chooses to believe.

I don't care what his beliefs are....I don't like the fact he forces his beliefs on others. I don't like that he belittles and feels superior to nonscientologists, "SP"s. I don't like that, as a man, he thinks he knows what a woman with postpartum depression needs. He "knows the history of psychology" Did he even go to college? You must have an open mind to educate yourself. And, from what I hear out of his mouth, he does not have an open mind.

Worshiping a science fiction writer is not a religion it's a cult. I love the clip of the award show where Tom is getting his award and turns to the big picture of L.Ron Hubbard, reminding me of all the big pictures of Saddam Hussaian that hung all over Irag, and salutes him and says to LRH and the whole auditorium raises to their feet to salute him and say to LRH with Tom. CREEPY!! That reminded me of Hitler.

If Tom wants to be in a CULT that's fine. But the cult of Scientology is on the attack all the time. They attack the psychiatric profession, both doctors and patients. Travolta is just another scientology puppet. Travolta knows he will be outed as Gay if he doesn't dance for scientology.

Look at the video. What exactly is he espousing? He never says. What does Scientology do? Who knows? Most religions believe in something and generally perform Humanitarian deeds. For instance the Catholic Church provide more charitable services than any others. Again what exactly does Scientology do?

Well....according to their own website, Scientologists believe we are all possessed by aliens and They(scientologists) are here to save us. Personally....I think they are all self righteous lunatics and Tom Cruise thinks he is the L. Ron Hubbard of this century. What an Idiot!

Before anyone starts defending Tom because it is his religious beliefs, keep in mind that the premise of scientology theology is not what is being attacked. They have an interestin theology, but it is the organized religion that is scary. They bully and follow you for more and more money, and as Tom stated they are THE way not A way. They think they are better than others. I got away from them but still get harrassing phone calls. When your audited you must give personal information. They write it down and when you don't agree with more sessions they read you what you said and remind you how devasted your family would be to find out you were depressed (big deal) Have your theology - I won't judge. Use your beliefs to take money and bully - that's a cult

Its' not his personal beliefs, it how the religion is organized. It is cult. I'm a Christian but thier are Cults born out of my religion as well. Scientolgist should stop charging so much money and forcing people to spend more and more, that would show they really believe in what they do and that it isn't jsut a money game. Keep in mind too that any and all money he gives to the church, for auditing , hotels of theres, travel for auditing, he gets a tax reciept.

While I would certainly agree with freedom of religion, and that their may be a thread of fanatacism in other religions, I have not recently (or ever) heard one of their disciples, espousing "get the guns" as Mr. Cruise did in his scientology recruiting video. Though certainly this ridiculous science fiction lunacy cant be considered a legitimate religion, it should be considered a latter day Jonestown in the making, and subsequently those who preach it should be viewed accordingly, it looks like time to get the flavoraid out again!
