Forget the agent, and the acting classes! You can now buy your way into an acting role. Tom Hanks is offering people a chance to act opposite his wife Rita Wilson in the Shakespearean play The Taming of the Shrew.
Tom has teamed up with eBay Giving Works to auction off a speaking role in the production when it comes to LA at the Shakespeare Festival May 19th. That only gives the person 10 days to learn their lines!
The winning bidder will also get the chance to mingle with Wilson's co-stars Annette Bening, William Shatner, Zach Braff, Tim Allen, Christina Applegate, David Schwimmer> and Sean Astin, and he or she will also be a part of the post-show cast party.
Yeah right, as if those people are going to mingle with some Joe Schmoe from the street. It's a nice gesture by Tom though. Anything for charity!
