Former Gucci designer Tom Ford is making his directorial debut this year. He's putting the final touches on his adaptation of Christopher Isherwood's 1964 novel, A Single Man.
The cast looks to be set in place, with Colin Firth starring as a gay college professor who has to deal with the sudden death of his partner. He then seeks help from a female friend, played by Julianne Moore, and one of his students, Jamie Bell.
The story takes place in Los Angeles in 1962. Sources say Ford will use his fashion sense to create a very 60s feel to the film, with the old cars and mid-century homes. We never knew he had it in him!
