Tom Cruise appeared on The View this morning and spoke out about how he’s feeling after hearing the terrible news of Jett Travolta’s death.

Kelly Preston are Scientologists like Tom is, and there has been a lot of talk about how the religion discourages its members from using Western medicine.
When asked about Jett, Tom gets visibly shaken, saying: "It's just horrific," he tells
Barbara Walters. "Here you have a man, both of them doting parents, they're wonderful people and ..."
"I remember Jett when he was born," Cruise said. "I saw him when he was just a few months old and John just adored him, and both of his children, and Kelly. I just don't have the words for it," Cruise added.
Tom seemed to be at a loss for words after that, so Barbara tried to ask him a more specific question. She asked, “One of the things that was said was that in your religion there is not medication, and you don’t necessarily take a member of your family to a doctor. Is that the case?”
Tom cleared up the hearsay, saying, “No that’s not true. It’s actually the opposite…”
He ended with this statement: "These people are... you all know him and see him and Kelly, and no one... It's just horrible. I remember Jett when he was born, I saw him when he was just a few months old, and John just adored him, both of his children, and Kelly. I don't have the words for it."
Tom didn’t exactly go into any more detail about the Scientology rumors, which is what we’re sure a lot of people would like to get answers about. But we do credit Tom for keeping the focus on the Travolta family, and recognizing what good parents John and Kelly are.
