Suri Cruise to Attend Catholic School

It's hard to believe that little Suri Cruise is already ready to start school, but Tom Cruise's adorable daughter will soon leave Mommy and Daddy's side and attend an Early Education class in Boston.

While Tom is a huge advocate for Scientology, their daughter will be raised a Catholic, just like her Mommy Katie Holmes.

Suri is all set to attend the Catholic Charities Yawkey Centre For Early Education And Learning in Boston, Massachusetts, while Tom shoots his latest movie Wichita in Boston.

A source tells the Daily Mail, "Katie has been listening to her parents who are devout Catholics. She is not convinced by Scientology and has told Tom that she wants Suri to be educated as a Catholic - as she was.

"They had been having huge problems agreeing on her school. To say they were having arguments it putting it mildly - but Tom came around to the idea in the end."

For the record, Tom was also raised a Catholic before he turned into a Scientologist back in 1990. We hear Katie refuses to join the sci-fi cult, and doesn't want her daughter involved in it either.

We're just excited about seeing Suri walk off to school with her cute little backpack and lunchbox. They grow up so fast!

That's wonderful. I'm a Protestant (United Methodist, to be exact), but I think that Catholicism is a nice, solid religion, while I'm not so sure about Scientology. One of my friends and his dad decided to check out Scientology back here in Indiana, and I don't know what kind of operation they run out in California, but Kevin said that they paid a really hefty price to attend a Scientology workshop (if I recall, about $100 apiece, and this was around 30 years ago). They first went into this room and were given Play-Doh to play with. After then did that for awhile, they were taken into this room where everybody sat on folding chairs and looked straight ahead while chanting these lines over and over again: "Do fish swim? Do birds fly? My name is (insert ones own name)? What is your name?" Kevin's dad looked over at him and said something along the lines of, "What in the hell is this?" Kevin replied, "I dunno...Mind control, maybe?" Kevin's dad then said something like, "Let's get out of here!" and Kevin agreed with him. Later, they said, "I can't believe we wasted $100 apiece on that!"

I'm glad Katie layed down the law. My only concern is who will carry her around school?

Good for Katie Holmes. I wouldn't want my kid being raised by that looney scientologist religion. I am glad she put down the law, and I am glad Tom Cruise compromised. Religion has been known to break up relationships

I am just happy to see the family together. They both have crazy schedules. Suri is adorable and I love the Cruise family.
