If this is true, then there is justice in this world: Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have reportedly been asked to host next year’s Golden Globes.
According to Deadline's sources, there aren’t any concrete negotiations surrounding this report, however the two ladies are definitely at the top of the show's producer's short list of possible hosts for the telecast.
The two were so successful with viewers and critics at last year’s awards show that many campaigned for the duo to host the Oscars. Tina herself has already dismissed that notion, however she is already warming to the idea of returning to the Golden Globes stage.
“Oh my gosh, we’ll see, we’ll see. It certainly was fun, we did have a good time. We’ll see if they want us back,” was all she had to say to "Access Hollywood" in the spring.
Deadline is reporting that because of Tina and Amy’s busy schedules—Tina just sold two TV comedies; Amy is still the fuel for “Parks and Recreation”—NBC and Globes producers have informally reached out to both talents to gauge their interest.
The 2013 Golden Globes was the program’s most-watched broadcast in six years. You go, girls.
