Tiger Woods released a lengthy statement today via his blog, thanking his fans for supporting him as he returned to golf at the Masters.
But we couldn’t help but notice how he never mentioned getting any support from Elin Nordegren. It’s pretty obvious at this point that she wants nothing to do with the golfer, and has taken off with the kids to Sweden for the summer.
Tiger wrote today, saying, “I honestly didn't know what to expect from the fans, but they were absolutely incredible from Monday through Sunday. It was unreal. They definitely helped me mentally to be more comfortable out there. I was hoping for the best. To get that type of warmth is something I did not expect and will never forget.”
He also talked about his upcoming tournaments he’ll be competing in, including the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach. But at the end it seemed like Woods haphazardly threw this in:
“I took a little time off after the Masters to go scuba diving and spend time with my family.”
It’s like it was such an afterthought! Tiger and Elin just need to get on with it already!
