The chairman of the Masters spoke out today about Tiger Woods in a press conference. And he surprised us by actually having an opinion about the golfer, and not kissing his ass.
Chairman Billy Payne admonished Woods’ past behavior, saying, "We at Augusta National hope and pray that our great champion will begin his new life in a positive, hopeful and constructive manner."
"He disappointed all of us," Payne added, "and more importantly, our kids and grandkids."
And it sounds like Tiger has been taking it to heart. According to Popeater, Woods has been reading Buddhist prayers each day on the golf course from his BlackBerry, while he practices at Augusta.
“He is making every effort to make sure temptation does not make him stray again. The meditation room and BlackBerry prayers are just the tip of the iceberg,” said one source.
Tiger also reportedly ordered a private room at the Masters, where he can meditate every day. Hey, at least he’s attempting to change his ways. But he has a long way to go to win back the public’s trust!
