Golf Digest Stands By Their Tiger Cover

Golf Digest probably picked the worst time to stick Tiger Woods on their cover. Before the scandal hit, the magazine interviewed the golfer for an article featuring him and President Barack Obama.

The issue is for January, and the cover reads: "10 Tips Obama Can Take From Tiger." Bet the editors are wishing they’d reversed those names!

But still, the publication has decided not to pull the issue from newsstands. Rather, they’ve decided to go forward with it. A portion of the article reads: "Woods is a good role model ... because he has always been able to pull himself together after setbacks. Woods never does anything that would make himself look ridiculous."

A spokesperson for Golf Digest said in a statement: "Our statement remains the same, that is Golf Digest has had a long-standing relationship with Tiger Woods to provide instruction articles for the magazine, and we do not have any plans to change that.”

The publication probably realizes that everyone wants to read anything related to Tiger right now. People will buy the issue simply to hate him more! But that equals dollar signs for Golf Digest!
