Friends and family bid rapper T.I. farewell today as he checked into the federal prison in Forrest Park, Arkansas. His year and a day sentence officially started a few hours ago.
T.I. spent his last days with close family and friends at his home in Georgia.
It was certainly an eventual few days for T.I. though, who wed his fiancé of 8 years, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, in private ceremony over the weekend.
He also performed a farewell gig in Atlanta on Sunday night, and told fans he's optimistic about his sentence.
He said: "I'm going to stand up tall, head up high. Thank you for all of your support."
Also, reports that T.I.'s prison sentence had been reduced to two months were incorrect, he's set to serve 366 days.
Considering what a workaholic he is, we're sure he'll use his time in the pokey wisely and write some more hits! Stay strong T.I., and don't drop the soap!
